If I stop drinking will that cure my diabetes?

Manage, Not Cure

Drinking exacerbates diabetes. Diabetics should avoid alcohol, or at the very least limit their use of it.

With medication and proper diet, you may limit the impact of the diabetes, or even reverse some of the damage, but there is no cure.

Likewise there is no cure for alcohol addiction.

So, the best answer to your question is to say that you can only manage it. You can't cure it.
